Famously not a part of Bordeaux’s “En Primeur” system, Chateau Latour only release when they feel the wine should be released. 2017 has released as a vintage that is showing well for earlier drinking than 2016 and ’18 which need more time. Often praised for their power it’s delightful to see such a pretty Latour, if you have never tried it you will certainly leave as an admirer.

Of all the first growths Margaux has long been thought of as the most elegant. 2011 was the smallest vintage for 20 years making this one of the lesser seen vintages. It has come into its drinking window perfectly with the signature silky smooth tannins and floral perfume ever present.

This is a great example of what Mercurey can be, highlighting the fantastic pinot noir flavours at a great price point.
